Dr. Jarrod Marto of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School (https://martolab.dana-farber.org/) is recruiting a creative and highly motivated Bioinformatics Analyst who will design, implement, and maintain high-performance, mass spectrometry-based proteomic data acquisition, analysis, and visualization systems.   These computational tools are an integral part of the lab’s focus on interrogating the functional proteome, and facilitate our analysis of mass spectrometry data across the full landscape of scientific inquiry, from the underlying instrumentation and analytical science, to interpretation of quantitative proteomic data in the context of biological networks and pathways. The stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies programs at Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center and Boston Children’s are among the largest and most experienced programs in the world. These programs have performed more than 11,500 transplants for the treatment of blood cancers and related disorders since they began in 1972, originally as a joint program, and have made major contributions to the advancement of research and care across many diagnoses. The ideal candidate will have pharmacy management experience, preferably in the specialty pharmacy or outpatient hospital pharmacy environment. The individual should be a strong team leader with excellent communication skills, and a business builder with a passion to drive growth and strengthen our existing relationships with our disease centers.     The candidate should be able to demonstrate a goal-oriented and results-driven attitude, capable of navigating change and driving new initiates as necessary to be successful. The manager will oversee operational efficiencies of the facility and work closely with the clinical pharmacy team to ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies. The manager will directly oversee one or more staff pharmacists, technicians and per diem staff. The manager will become part of our strategic management team which includes the Director of Specialty Pharmacy, Outpatient Pharmacy Manager Longwood, Specialty Pharmacy Manager Merrimack Valley, and our Resource/Benefit Specialist Supervisor. This role is primarily operational, and the manager should be prepared to invest a significant portion of their time in the work-flow, coordinating the intake, enrollment, and fulfillment of outpatient pharmacy patients and orders, along with the appropriate documentation.   Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is opening a new outpatient cancer facility in September 2020 in Chestnut Hill. The new ambulatory center, located  at 300 Boylston Street, Chestnut Hill, will provide much needed space for adult patient care to support our patient growth. Dana-Farber - Chestnut Hill will offer Clinical and Research Laboratory Services, Clinical Trials, Imaging, Infusion Services, Nutrition Support, Retail Pharmacy, Social Work, and Transfusion Services. This will be a multi-disciplinary, state-of-the-art facility designed to maintain the same model of care that is currently given to our patients on our Longwood Campus.   Job Location: Training for this position will start in June 2020 at our Longwood campus (450 Brookline Ave), and will transition to Chestnut Hill in September after opening.
