Responsibilities

The Joint Center for Cancer Precision Medicine (CCPM) of the Dana-Farber Cancer institute, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Broad Institute seeks a research project manager to assist in overseeing the daily operations of existing research projects and in launching new projects exploring the application of genomics and other cutting-edge molecular technologies to guide treatment decisions and clinical trials in oncology. This individual will collaborate closely with senior project management, faculty, project investigators and study team members to ensure the highest standards of quality and execution of CCPM projects.

 

PRIMARY TASKS:

  • Manage all aspects of multiple studies relating to precision medicine from project implementation through follow-up data collection and analysis
  • In collaboration with senior project management and project investigators, oversee project start-up and implementation, including design and optimization of work flow
  • Assist in database design and management, including study enrollment information, specimen tracking and reporting
  • Work with clinical research coordinators to track patient consent data and maintain dashboards of all components (research biopsies, sample processing workflow, genomic/molecular studies, data analysis, interpretation, reporting)
  • Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and data integrity of patient information, which may include medical and/or genetic testing information
  • Together with project leaders, schedule and develop agendas for team meetings and conference calls
  • Maintain updated written standard operating procedures, including regular meeting notes and project documentation
  • Help tabulate key metrics for reporting of progress reports, presentations at scientific meetings, and publications
  • Help prepare presentation materials such as slide decks that summarize study progress and efficiency metrics
  • Be the “point person” for multiple groups, both internal and external, to ensure protocols are implemented as written

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors’ degree required, preferably in public health, social sciences, or related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 2 - 3 years of related experience required.
  • Previous experience working in clinical research, academic research, or similar environment required
  • Experience with database management required
  • Experience in cancer genetics a plus
