The Development Assistant provides administrative support to two Director level staff, including maintaining databases, managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, filing, arranging travel, and coordinating appointments.

Responsible for assisting the entire Division with reaching financial goals.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reports to two Director level staff on Principal and Major Gifts. Independent decision-making on day-to-day tasks and good judgment is required for dealing with Institute donors, trustees, faculty, and senior staff and confidential information.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree and/or administrative training degree required. As this level position is often considered a “base” for someone pursuing a Development career, a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. 0-2 years of administrative experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Excellent written and verbal communications skills are necessary with a strong orientation to customer service. Superior organizational skills and ability to manage a variety of projects are key. Directed and self-starting attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and work with a variety of personalities. Solid computer skills.
Workstation located in typical office setting. Some overtime or weekend work is required.
