The Brigham & Women’s/Dana Farber Adult Palliative Care Program offers a one year full time fellowship to prepare a qualified nurse practitioner to assume clinical, leadership and education roles in adult palliative care. This fellowship provides opportunities to gain knowledge and clinical experience in advanced practice palliative nursing that includes management of pain and other symptoms, provision of psycho-social support for patients and families, facilitation of advance care planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Mentoring by expert advanced palliative nurses will enhance the fellow’s integration with the Harvard Palliative Medicine fellowship curriculum.
This fellowship is designed to conform to the Hospice and Palliative Nursing Association’s Standards of Clinical Practicum in Palliative Nursing for Practicing Professional Nurses, Scope and Practice of Palliative Nursing and Competencies of Advanced Practice Nurses in Palliative Care, and to prepare the fellow for certification as an advanced practice palliative nurse.
Monday – Friday; 8-5 PM.
Temporary position from: July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019.
