Overview

The laboratory of Dr. Alessandra Biffi at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Gene Therapy Program, is seeking an energetic, efficient, and resourceful person who will organize laboratory operations, and provide critical support to the principal investigator (PI) and her team.

Responsibilities

Specific duties will include, but are not limited to: providing operations support to postdoctoral fellows and graduate students and overseeing the day-to-day infrastructure of the laboratory to optimize processes. Wet lab duties include cell culture, vector production and molecular biology. He/she will work on projects aimed at developing innovative gene therapy protocols for the treatment of lysosomal and neurodegenerative disorders with a highly motivated team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with at least 3 - 5 years of laboratory experience with cell culture, cellular and molecular biology is required.

Specific skills and personal attributes required include: high energy multi-tasker, supremely organized with exquisite attention to detail, exemplary communication skills, computer and technology savvy, strong expertise in molecular and cellular biology, mice handling and viral vector production.
