The Community Health Educator (CHE) will be responsible for coordinating health education and project-related activities for the UMass Boston-DF/HCC Partnership Outreach Core (https://www.umb.edu/u54/cores). The Outreach Core focuses on: 1) building capacity in community-based organizations (CBOs) and faith-based organizations (FBOs) to use evidence-based programs 2) delivering cancer-focused outreach as part of the National Cancer Institute’s National Outreach Network (NON) 3) engaging students in outreach and community-based research efforts focused on cancer control and 4) developing and disseminating products that will synthesize and summarize the results from the U54 research projects to inform the activities of community partners working to address cancer disparities. Accordingly, the CHE will play an integral role in developing and fostering relationships with FBOs and CBOs in Greater Boston. The CHE will work in collaboration with a study team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and UMass Boston.

This position will be office and field-based depending on the needs of the project. The position often requires weekend and nighttime flexibility (and the weekday schedule will be adjusted accordingly). Attendance at national meetings (yearly) is required. Ability to drive in the Greater Boston area preferred.
