The laboratory of Dr Alessandra Biffi, Director of the Gene Therapy Program at Dana-Farber\Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center and of the Program for Cell and Gene Therapy in Rare Diseases, Boston Children’s Hospital, is looking for a talented and highly motivated post-doc.
He/she will work on projects aimed at developing novel HSC gene therapy applications for the treatment of lysosomal storage disorders and at improving the understanding of the mechanisms of microglia turnover following HSC transplantation.
The ideal candidate should have expertise in murine and human HSC isolation and manipulation, lentiviral vector production, animal handling and experimental HSC transplantation.
Good social skills are important as the candidate is expected to actively collaborate with other members of the laboratory.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate a consistently good academic record, including publications in international journals.
