Overview

The Compensation Analyst works as a member of the Compensation Operations team to provide daily support to Recruiters, HR Business Partners, and Customers. Assures prompt and accurate response to requests for analysis of promotions, new hires, job descriptions, etc. Participates in annual survey response activities and provides project support to senior level team members and Director.

Responsibilities

  • Perform job analysis and benchmark positions to the market, including salaried, hourly, and executive positions. Produces benchmark pay recommendations.
  • Participate in external compensation surveys.
  • Assist and collaborate in the planning, coordination, facilitation, administration, and reporting of the annual salary review program for all employees.
  • Serve as a partner to HR Business Partners and Institute leaders by providing guidance, education and coaching on compensation processes, guidelines, job descriptions, position evaluation and regulatory issues and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain standardized job descriptions, determining appropriate exemption status under FLSA guidelines. Accurately record information and assign coding to create new job codes.
  • Partner with HRIS to improve effectiveness of compensation administration and analysis. Ensures data integrity and accurate and timely use of information.
  • Assist in the development and updating operating policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Supports project team with activities associated with market adjustments, reorganizations, etc.
  • Performs other job-related duties as needed

Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • 2 years of Compensation experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of standard compensation principles
  • Knowledge of FLSA regulations and basic employment law
  • Knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (e.g. PeopleSoft, Workday, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Skilled in analyzing and evaluating job content and writing accurate job descriptions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and exceptional research, analytical, evaluation, and negotiation skill
  • Ability to provide accurate and consistent analysis
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
  • Ability to support and contribute to Compensation Team processes and practices
