A full-time position is available for a highly motivated animal technician to study murine models of CLL. The technician will be responsible for mouse husbandry, and thus the candidate should have meticulous record keeping and organizational skills. This position will require comfort and ease with mouse models including breeding and weaning skills, techniques such as venipuncture, tail vein injections, autopsy, genotyping, and drug administration via oral and intravenous routes. Our animal facility will also teach and oversee these skills so the candidate should be eager and excited to learn new animal handling techniques. Training is available in all procedures; some experience in the above techniques is required.

College background and 2 or more years of experience in animal care. Demonstrated experience with mice and colony management.
Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences is preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform in a team environment are essential;
