    Responsibilities

    We are seeking highly motivated and experienced research scientist with strong technical backgrounds in the following areas: high-throughput chemical screening, functional genetic (shRNA or CRISPR/Cas9 screening), epigenomic characterization of cell lines (ChIP-Seq), genetic/chemical perturbation of cancer cell lines

    • Skilled at scientific analysis, lab procedures, and investigational/observational research.
    • Direct activities include collaboration on observational research.
    • Conduct of and analysis of observational research.
    • Collaboration on information database and analysis.
    • Ability to train, mentor or advise research staff, possessing excellent communication skills.
    • Direct activities as assigned or necessary by event. Daily interaction with co-workers in lab, support staff, possibly with physicians, nurses and other clinicians. Interactions with other internal departments (Medical Records, etc). Little to no contact outside the Institute. Generally, will not have patient/confidential information access. For any related such contact, Institute policy will be strictly followed.

    Qualifications

    Required to have demonstrated expertise in mission-critical technologies and/or show promise or evidence of ability to excel in research. The function/role of Research Scientists consists of establishing and maintaining critical core technologies and/or conducting research projects. Research experience is essential, although educational background can vary; it will often include doctoral and post-doctoral experience. 5-7 years experience
