    The Beacon Order Entry Content Coordinator is responsible for developing and  managing the standard or care and research protocol content that will be put into the Beacon order template for provider ordering.  This position works closely with physicians, pharmacists, nurses and Beacon and Willow builders.  This position also works with end users or the applications to illicit feedback and recommend improvements to the application, workflows, policies/procedures etc.  This position also participates in cross-institutional committees regarding the order set content.

    Responsibilities

    • Gather oncology clinical content for both standard of care treatments and clinical trial treatments for Beacon protocol development
    • Submit clinical content to the Beacon Application team for building in the Epic Beacon application and work closely with the Beacon builders to develop/prioritize protocol orders
    • Serve as a liaison between the DFCI clinical team members and Beacon Application Coordinator team
    • Create new and review/maintain beacon protocols for both Standard of Care and Research treatments
    • Assist in providing metrics and data analysis regarding the content and build process of Beacon protocols
    • Support a multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, nurses and pharmacist that review orders in the Beacon protocol validation process
    • Lead and participates in various Institute and cross-institutional committees to standardize oncology treatment orders
    • Work collaboratively on a team of nurses and pharmacist to maintain consistency in build process and standardization of orders

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a health care related field
    • Clinician (registered nurse or pharmacist) with 3-5 years experience in health care.  Informatics or related experience preferred/strong technical background
    • Current professional licensure
    • Clinical Trial experience preferred
    • Epic experience preferred
