    The Finance/ Business Analyst will assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and all departmental accounts. The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial projections, producing routine reports, and analytical projects to support the department. 

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with the development of annual budgets and forecasts
    • Monitor budgets and report variances; prepare financial analysis as required
    • Process invoices and checks, create purchase orders, review and approve expense reports
    • Track faculty and staff travel allotment 
    • Monitor contracts and track expiration dates
    • Assist with fiscal year end close activities
    • Monitor revenue and expenditures on gift, discretionary, and ISR funds
    • Serve as a resource to administrative staff for financial questions
    • Create pro formas and other financial models with input from others; manipulate models to produce a variety of scenarios and assistance to strategic and business planning of the department
    • Other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or master's degree preferred
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in finance and business preferably in a health care environment
    • Excellent quantitative, analytic and problem solving skills; demonstrated advanced proficiency in financial skills and data analysis; able to draw meaning and present conclusions effectively
    • Strong writing skills; ability to creatively use tables, graphs, charts 
    • Strong results orientation, teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Strong attention to detail and high deliverable quality
    • Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills; Access skills preferred 
    • Excellent organizational skills
