Located in Boston and the surrounding communities, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute brings together world renowned clinicians, innovative researchers and dedicated professionals, allies in the common mission of conquering cancer, HIV/AIDS and related diseases. Combining extremely talented people with the best technologies in a genuinely positive environment, we provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients of all ages; we conduct research that advances treatment; we educate tomorrow's physician/researchers; we reach out to underserved members of our community; and we work with amazing partners, including other Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals.
The Reinherz lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to study HIV-1 vaccine immunology with emphasis on 1) the genetic and molecular mechanisms of broadly neutralizing antibodies specific to MPER segment of the gp41 subunit and 2) vaccine-induced cellular and antibody responses involving extrinsic factors modulating GC reactions/affinity maturation of subdominant antigen-specific B cells. The laboratory provides a rich training environment and access to cutting-edge techniques.
Highly-motivated candidates with a recent PhD or MD/PhD in biomedical sciences and experience in immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry and/or murine models are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in molecular and cellular biology is essential. Candidates should have a publication record in peer-reviewed journals. We are seeking a candidate with excellent writing and communication skills, able to work independently but also effectively with other lab members. Applicants should send a short statement of research goals, CV and three references.
