    This position will assist in performing scientific research in cancer immunology. The position will be responsible for sterile tissue culture of murine tumor cell lines for in vitro research. Will set up, operate and maintain relevant laboratory instruments and equipment, including flow cytometer, microscopes, cell counter, incubator, and plate reader. Will monitor experiments, make observations and record and analyze results. 


    • Conduct standardized immunological, biological or biochemical tests and laboratory analyses, including the collection of information and samples from organic substances, such as blood and animals.
    • Isolate, identify and prepare specimens/reagents for experiments and handling with animals. 
    • Monitors own laboratory work to ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety information as well as the standard operation procedures specific to each laboratory.
    • Involved in the development, modification and improvement of standard operating procedures.
    • Uses computers, computer-interfaced equipment, robotics or high-technology applications to perform work duties.
    • Assist in designing and executing advanced experiments and setting strategy. 


    • Bachelor's Degree required; major in cell biology and/or immunology preferred.
    • Knowledge of information and techniques related to cellular immunology preferred but nor required.
    • Previous lab experience, sterile cell culture experience preferred.
    • Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Highly motivated and open to new challenges
    • Must be detail oriented, timely, and thorough in completing work tasks.
