The laboratory of Dr. Alessandra Biffi at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, is seeking two energetic, efficient, and resourceful people who will participate in laboratory operations, and provide critical support to the principal investigator (PI) and her team.
The successful candidate will work on projects aimed at developing innovative gene therapy protocols for the treatment of lysosomal and neurodegenerative disorders. He/she will be required to contribute to research by taking care of our mouse colony and assisting with experiments in rodents including stereotaxic injections; the candidates may also support investigators in molecular and cellular biology, viral vector production and maintenance of cell cultures, depending of their expertise.
Bachelor's degree with 3 - 5 years of laboratory experience is preferred. Specific skills and personal attributes required include: high energy multi-tasker, supremely organized with exquisite attention to detail, exemplary communication skills, computer and technology savvy, strong expertise in mice handling; experience in molecular and cellular biology and viral vector production would be also appreciated
