Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorder Center (DF/BC) is a partnership of more than 60 years between Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Boston Children’s Hospital that provides comprehensive care to children with cancer and blood diseases, and survivors of pediatric cancers.
The Web Editor conceives, implements, and oversees web and digital communication projects that increase awareness of DF/BC. The Web Editor also increases visibility of the DF/BC global online presence among key audiences (patients and families, referring physicians, opinion leaders and the medical elite). Primary responsibilities include: managing the DF/BC website; developing website strategy and requirements; managing the website design firm; determining content and navigation approach; managing and improving ongoing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) efforts of the site, and social networking initiatives.
This role has a dual reporting relationship reporting to both the Director of Interactive Communications and the Director of Marketing. Responsibilities also include overseeing projects that increase traffic to the DF/BC website, and other applications, digital video and podcasts, and web promotions. The Web Editor reports to the Director of Interactive Communications and Director of Marketing at Dana-Farber. The Web Editor collaborates with Boston Children’s Hospital and Dana-Farber’s marketing, communications, interactive, clinical and research teams.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Work requires the knowledge typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications, and 5-7 years of relevant online content development experience in the Web 2.0 environment. Excellent writing skills required.
