Reporting to the Controller and Senior Director of Research Finance, the Director has primary responsibility for establishing and overseeing a control environment for post-award financial management of all federal and non-federal sponsored research grants awarded to DFCI. Responsibilities include the development and assessment of strong internal controls, system enhancements, federal regulatory compliance, policies and procedures, and financial reporting to various funding agencies. Responsible for leading all external (Uniform Guidance), internal, and desk audits related to grants. In addition, this position is responsible for overseeing and managing recruitment, professional advancement and development, outcome measures and performance evaluation of Research Accounting staff.
